John has over 30 years experience in prosecuting and defending in serious crime. As a junior, he prosecuted Operation Imperial - the first Operation dealing with modern day slavery in Wales. Since taking Silk in 2020, he has been involved in a number of high-profile murder trials.

He continues to be instructed in cases of serious sexual offences and drug offences.
