Carina completed her degree and legal training in London before going on to complete a Masters degree (LLM) in Cardiff. She joined Angel Chambers as a tenant in 2006.

Carina specialises in criminal law.

Criminal law

Since joining Angel Chambers Carina has specialised in criminal law and has established a busy practice. She has achieved level 4 prosecutor status for the Crown Prosecution Service and is an advocate on the rape & serious sexual offences panel.

Carina has prosecuted and defended in cases across the criminal spectrum including multi-handed offences of violence, arson, drug trafficking, fraud and serious sexual offences - both current and historic. She has experience of the Court of Appeal and is fully versed in the appeals process.

Carina has had particular experience in dealing with niche and evolving areas of criminal law such cases involving defendants who are mute of malice. She was the first Barrister in South Wales to successfully apply for a Criminal Behaviour Order.

Carina is a member of the Criminal Bar Association and keeps up to date with the most recent developments in criminal law.
